Job Description:

Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Salesforce Architect/SME supporting our HHS HRSA customer Center of Excellence (COE). GDIT is your place to make meaningful contributions to challenging projects and grow a rewarding career.

As a Salesforce Architect/SME, you will provide support to the customer’s Salesforce Platform Center of Excellence (COE) by maturing the governance of their Salesforce program at the enterprise level.

Candidates must be able to travel to customer location Maryland to obtain badging prior to starting and will be expected to work onsite in the Rockville, MD area a few times a month as needed

Responsibilities:

Designs, architects, deploys and maintains Salesforce solutions.

You will work with the customer, application owners and existing DevOps team.

Provide enterprise level guidance on governance, technical oversight and recommendations to ensure Salesforce Orgs are implemented in a cohesive manner to support current and future growth.

Introduce standard practices and tolling for architecture review, release and reusable deployment processes across the Salesforce orgs

Provide tactical platform strategy, standardized policies, license transparency, and streamlined Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

Guide teams towards coordinated architecture and best practices, minimizing risks, integration and maximizing the value of investment.

Work with Salesforce Professional Services for the CoE.

Define Logical Enterprise Architecture (Functional, Security, Integration and Data).

Establish and ATO process and standardize, on the COE level, so that various bureaus can more easily obtain ATO for their applications

Define and document the COE’s reporting and engagement model.

Define and document development Governance and best practices for development team.

Develop and document Salesforce onboarding guide to support application development teams.

Conduct assessment and analysis to provide recommendations for a Master Data Management (MDM) for ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and integrity.

Collaborate with Org Leads and other architects to maintain and/or establish the Enterprise Data Model and consolidated data dictionary.

Provide guidance and oversight on architecture, design, and solution decisions while minimizing technical debt and promoting future reuse of solutions

Provide weekly and on-demand status reports on the work that is performed

Define release management processes and provide technical oversight for various DevOps platforms with agile framework tools, automated regression testing and security scanning for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) orchestration.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in a STEM related field and 8+ years of experience with the Salesforce platform

5+ years of related experience working in a large scale enterprise organization.

Experience with presenting to leadership on proposed solutions.

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust and sucessfully pass a thorough government background screening process (forms/fingerprinting).

Ability to meet with the customer onsite at least a few times a month in the Rockville, MD area.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Teams.

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint and ServiceNow.

Demonstrated strong technical skills and analytic abilities, as well as experience performing system security analysis and risk management.

Demonstrated experience performing complex technical tasks in pursuit of overall goals with minimal direction.

Demonstrated experience in translating an understanding of systems and applications into test plans

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
