**On-Site Location is on the Christ the King Church Campus in Steele Creek NC**Position Overview:The Learning and Development Coordinator will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating training and development programs for our community members, staff and volunteers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in organizational development, program coordination, and talent management while supporting the growth and success of our team.Key Responsibilities:Program Support:Assist in the design and development of training materials, including presentations, manuals, and handouts.Help coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and seminars for community members, staff and volunteers.Provide logistical support for training events, including room setup, equipment management, and participant registration.Training and Development:Support the delivery of training programs, including facilitating sessions and providing hands-on assistance.Assist in creating and implementing learning assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs.Help track and manage training records, including attendance and feedback.Research and Analysis:Conduct research on best practices and emerging trends in learning and development.Assist in evaluating the needs of the community, staff and volunteers to identify areas for development and improvement.Analyze feedback and performance data to provide recommendations for program enhancements.Administrative Support:Provide general administrative support, including maintaining training files and documentation.Assist with the onboarding process for new staff and volunteers, including preparing orientation materials and scheduling initial training.Support communication efforts related to training and development, including drafting announcements and updates.Special Projects:Contribute to special projects related to organizational development and employee engagement.Help develop and implement new initiatives aimed at enhancing professional growth and development within the organization and training offerings to the community.Qualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.Attention to detail and a commitment to supporting team development.Preferred Skills:Previous experience in training, education, or human resources is a plus.Basic knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.Familiarity with online training tools and platforms.Benefits:Practical experience in learning and development within a nonprofit setting.Opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals and gain insights into organizational development.Networking opportunities with staff and volunteers across the organization.
