About the Role:
Community Behavioral Health (CBH) seeks a Learning and Development Specialist to play a key role in building and executing a robust development program that strengthens the skills and competencies of our workforce. This role will focus on designing and delivering programs that target leadership and supervisory development, supporting a culture of continuous learning across the organization. The Learning and Development Specialist will collaborate closely with departmental leaders, assist with the New Hire Experience logistics and delivery, and manage The Source (our company intranet) to provide engaging, recurring content. Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, this position is ideal for a passionate learning professional who is eager to help create a transformative development program and positively impact CBH's talent and culture goals.
Key Responsibilities:Program Development and Facilitation:
Create and implement development programs focused on leadership, supervisory skills, and team-building, incorporating best practices in adult learning theory.New Hire Experience:
Assist with the logistics and delivery of the New Hire Experience, including onboarding support and participation in New Hire Orientation sessions, ensuring new employees are welcomed and well-prepared.Coaching and Consultation:
Provide individualized coaching and consultation to support leaders and teams in applying learning to improve team effectiveness, drive engagement, and foster innovation.Content Curation and Management:
Manage The Source (company intranet) to deliver consistent, engaging, and relevant content that promotes professional growth and continuous learning.Research and Program Design:
Conduct evidence-based research to inform and refine the design of programs, including leadership development, conflict resolution, team facilitation, and change management.Training Delivery:
Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to strengthen skills across various competencies, including communication, team dynamics, and supervisory skills.Learning Needs Analysis and Evaluation:
Collaborate with department leaders to assess training needs, gather feedback, and use data to evaluate program effectiveness and guide future development.Other Duties as AssignedMinimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.At least 3 years of experience in training facilitation and program development, with a solid understanding of adult learning principles.Preferred: Certification in a personality assessment (e.g., MBTI, DISC).Strong coaching and consulting skills, with the ability to guide individuals and teams in applying learning effectively.Experience with digital content management, especially on intranet or learning platforms.Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.Philadelphia Residency Requirement:
The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.U.S. Authorization Requirement:
