DescriptionAre you a procurement professional looking to build something new and exciting for the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) at Amazon? We are looking for people with a passion to innovated, build and lead a new team in specific regions around the Globe to enable our organization to influence more spend and delight our customers.The Spend Leader (SL) is a key member of the Site Procurement Operations (SPO) Spend Management Team (SMT). The SMT is responsible for delivering capabilities to increase and penetrate spend that is not in scope today for GPO. Develop and lead a team in region to facilitate a better end-to-end customer experience across the worldwide operations. The SMT mission is to closely collaborate with Category Procurement to enrich spend penetration, savings, supplier diversity, and catalog adoption. As an SL, you will partner with a set of global strategic stakeholders to earn trust and deliver results while simultaneously picking up signals and patterns that allow SMT execute the strategies to drive broad adoption at the local level. The SL works directly with the Category pillars and Global Procurement Shared Services (GPSS) teams to help define the roadmap of projects to come. In addition to identifying the pipeline, as GPO partners, these teams will help identify friction points, blockers, and forward-looking areas of opportunity. As the SL, you will seek alignment of key stakeholders, creation of the target-solution, and orchestration of required actions to enact change and drive the target outcome. The SL will define metrics and stand-up the required mechanisms to inspect the initiatives, from which the SMT and enact necessary improvements as well as harvest learning's to feed into parallel and future initiatives.Key job responsibilitiesKey Job Responsibilities:Developing and leading a global team of Regional Spend ChampionsPrioritizing the right projects for the team to deliver resultsDefine criteria to determine total cost of ownership or the best return on investmentDeveloping metrics and goals for the teamDelivering results on metrics and goalsEnable or stand-up mechanism to track and audit performanceEstablish relationships with key stakeholders and customersDirect involvement in strategic planning processes and communicationAbout the teamVision:SPOs vision is to seamlessly integrate global procurement expertise with local insights, fostering a glocal strategy. By transcending borders, we will empower sustainable and profitable growth for Amazon.Mission:We maximize GPO's impact and influence as the site procurement interface to global customers through supply and quality assurance of non-inventory goods and services.Basic Qualifications- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience- 7+ years of program or project management experience- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 10+ years of category procurement experience utilizing RFx process- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization- Experience defining program requirements using data and metrics- Risk Management with general understanding of geopolitics impacts across the supply chain- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply management, or financePreferred Qualifications- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget with quality- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CSPM)- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)- Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM)- MBAAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
