CPPI Grant Coordinator

Through the Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative (CPPI), EEC is providing districts across the state the opportunity to develop partnerships between the school district and local private early education and care programs to expand access to high-quality preschool within the district, with particular attention to addressing existing barriers, including but not limited to cost and access to special education

services.

Fitchburg Public Schools is the recipient of an awarded planning grant through EEC. These planning grants will fund districts in FY24 to (1) build partnerships with local EEC-licensed, community-based organizations (CBOs), (2) develop a leadership team, (3) conduct a needs assessment and (4) draft a strategic plan. Funding continuation in FY25 will focus on moving towards implementation to be ready to provide a competitive bid for full implementation in the next procurement cycle in FY26.

The Grant Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:

* The Grant Coordinator is responsible for disseminating all relevant information to the proper agencies, including Lead Agency staff, subcontracted partners, and designated vendors for the Needs Assessment; The Grant Coordinator must attend any relevant EEC trainings and meetings and act as the point person to EEC for all grant-funded activities;* The Grant Coordinator is responsible for meeting the reporting requirements of the grant, including the oversight of budget planning and spending, and the monitoring of subgrantees implementation and spending;* If the Grant Coordinator is not available year-round, a designee must be identified by the

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree preferred* Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary license in one of the following areas:* Early Childhood (PreK-2) Preferred;* Elementary;Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities or; Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilities with SEI Endorsement* EEC Director I or II* Knowledge of current education legislation/regulations;* Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents and advocate for children to effectively problem-solve;* Expertise and working knowledge of Early Childhood program development and implementation;* Experience with designing and coordinating grant requirements with EEC and/or DESE;* Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders* Belief in the commitment to the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including, the implementation of specific strategies for students with special needs, 504 plans, and/or English learners (EL).* Familiarity with Fitchburg's early childhood structure and offerings preferred

* Applicants must commit to being present for the summer months.

Grant Administration and Implementation

Program planning and development: May 1, 2024 -August 30, 2024 - 20 hours per week

Total Compensation:

$45 an hour; NTE $16,200

Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program.

An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of NCBC (fingerprinting) and CORI prior to your start of employment.
