P12 Placement & Licensure Specialist for Professional Programs
Responsible for a broad range of credentialing functions that include reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and processing applications for public school teaching credentials, certificates, and permits. Serves as a campus resource and provides assistance, guidance, and current information to students, members of the faculty, faculty committees, and other interested parties on matters regarding state and campus Education credentialing requirements. Handles Student Teaching placements across all colleges of the university. As time allows, will help with licensure for professional programs across SUU's campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordination of Education Licensure with USBE
• Student Teaching Placements for Secondary and Elementary students in conjunction with Field Services coordinator
• Maintain Reciprocity Compliance for moving licensure to another state
• Ensure Compliance with Licensing Requirements with USBE
• Filling out Verification letters for students
• Community and Partner building
• Coordinating with College of Education and Human Development for Accreditation reporting, Title II reporting, and USBE reporting
• Licensure for other professional programs on SUU's campus as time allows
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 3-4 years relevant experience
• Proficiency with computers, both windows and apple products
• Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and organization
• Knowledge of appropriate software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of administrative assistant experience
• Teaching License
