Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of daily plant functions to ensure smooth daily operations. This role is responsible for directing and managing all plant operations including plant maintenance, product quality, staffing, and other plant activities. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development Build and train a team of supervisors to carry out the goals and objectives of the division, fostering a culture of trust and high performance. Oversee and support team meetings with supervisors from each department to ensure alignment and effective communication. Collaborate with Team Member Services to implement policies that are fair and equitable, enhancing workplace culture and employee satisfaction. Oversee comprehensive training programs through Pacific University, ensuring backup training for each department and adherence to company hiring and disciplinary procedures. Operational Efficiencies and Strategic Collaboration Control and monitor physical inventories, procurement of production and plant supplies, and manage costs effectively. Review and analyze budget and financials, approving production, maintenance, logistics, and accounts payable as needed. Oversee logistics for sales operations, work closely with the sales team on sizing and inventory management, and clear all orders. Lead management alignment through weekly meetings, collaborate on long-term R&D with the support office and sales team, and develop professional networks in the seafood industry. Production and Quality Management Maximize yields and quality in the shucking and packing rooms, managing labor costs effectively. Oversee bushel rotation to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted production. Monitor production for quality standards, maximize productivity, and minimize product waste, including overseeing plant sanitation practices and conducting internal audits. Safety, Compliance, and Sustainability Oversee and monitor the implementation of HACCP, SQF, and sustainability programs to ensure operational compliance and safety. Monitor designated safety champions for the plant safety program and oversee plant maintenance. Maintain export certificates and ensure compliance with discharge and stormwater regulations. Responsible for plant inspections by state and federal agencies, maintaining all necessary permits and dealing with regulatory bodies. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. What you bring to Pacific Seafood: Required Minimum five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. HARPC (HACCP) Knowledge Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.) Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Prior experience in the seafood or shellfish industry. LEAN/Six Sigma Experience Bilingual in Spanish is a plus Prior ERP knowledge (SAP) Pay: $74,305 - $111,457 Annually Total compensation: At Pacific Seafood your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
