Senior Procurement Manager, Direct Materials

Our client is a global producer of specialty chemicals. We are currently hiring for a Senior Procurement Manager to manage a portfolio of critical raw materials and play a key role in creating world class sourcing organization.This position is offered on a hybrid basis, 3 days a week in office and 2 days a week working from home.Reporting to the VP Procurement, key responsibilities include:Lead the strategy for procurement of Direct materials through the development of strategic business relationships domestically and globally where necessary.Responsible for selecting suppliers and negotiating a large spend, with the authority to issue purchase agreements, blanket orders, and purchase orders within corporate purchasing policy. Has primary authority for source selection and price negotiation.Ensure the security of supply and total delivered cost improvements in alignment with business goals.Reviews and negotiate monthly price changes in relation to market movements. Advises the business units on price trends, force majeures, and industry capacity changes. Becomes the subject matter expert for assigned categories.Identifies and drives qualification of new sources in collaboration with R&D.Collaborates with Supply Chain and Marketing to support & enable sales growth.Experience + qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in engineering, chemistry, or related business degree7 years minimum experience in Procurement with experience sourcing raw materials within a Chemical manufacturing or Petrochemicals environment.Experience with SAP would be an advantage.
