We are seeking a Property Controller to be part of our leadership team who will direct the administration of accounting procedures, timely and accurate production of financial statements and records, effective analysis of financial results and implementation of best practices. The Lofton Hotel is a full-service, $15M revenue property with a global brand affiliation in the Tapestry by Hilton collection. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership and cross-departmental collaboration in order to appropriately set and achieve property financial goals.

What you will be doing:
•Act as a financial business partner on a consistent basis, engaging property management with creative solutions to improve overall business results and processes.
•Select, develop and manage an effective team of accounting associates including but not limited to receivables, collections, accounts payable, payroll, cashier, night audit and income audit.
•Produce materially accurate and timely financial reports and statements for internal and external uses.
•Implement and maintain accounting processes and procedures, based on prescribed guidelines (Marcus Ways, SOX, US GAAP).
•Create, maintain and safeguard accounting records.
•Ensure adequate processes and procedures to protect company assets.
•As circumstances change, actively engage and work with Central Accounting, to change company policies to better match our dynamic business environment.
•Drive the annual budget process for both financial and capital projections.
•Develop operational analysis and information for effective and useful decision making by the property as well as Central Accounting.
•Collaborate with property management team and Central Accounting to ensure accounting challenges are resolved in a timely manner.
•Perform related management activities as required.
What we are looking for:
•Previous management experience, preferably 5-7 years within a multi-site, high-volume hospitality company.
•Four-year accounting degree required. CPA designation desired.
•Superior leadership, management and organizational skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to make connections across departments and collaborate effectively.
•Strong analysis and problem identification/resolution skills.
•A meticulous eye for detail.
•Represent company in a professional manner.
•Ability to work required hours in order to meet deadlines.
•Advanced knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
•Ability to travel as required, approximately 10%.
