Job Summary:Bucknell University is seeking a casual Program Coordinator to support the Division of Equity & Inclusive Excellence. The Program Coordinator position in EIE provides logistics management, budget management, short-term and long-term planning support, and ongoing prioritization assessment for the Division, as well as providing direct support for the Director of Equity & Inclusive Excellence. Successful candidates will have an interest in social justice and improving equity on college campuses, which are central to this position and to the Division it supports.
Job Duties:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Logistical Support : Assist with divisional events, educational programs, and initiatives; Collaborate with university partners to support First Generation Students; Provide logistical support for EIE Signature Programs, including the Diversity Symposium; Assist with coordination of faculty and staff affinity groups. This includes: scheduling event spaces, taking registration information, planning menus, coordination with partners on and off-campus, creating and submitting expense reports, and assisting in managing divisional email account.
Administrative Support : Calendaring; Coordination of notes; Project management, to include ensuring timelines and meeting deadlines; Data management; Filing and cataloging; and Website maintenance.
Student Employment Administration : Financial oversight of student workers. Complete workday hiring logistics, approve student time. Verify hours at the end of each semester. Assist with stewardship reporting as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Associate degree in applicable field with a minimum of (3) years of administrative experience or a High School Degree/Equivalent with a minimum of (5) years of administrative, budget, project management, and financial management experienceProfessional Work Experience:
Event planning experienceExperience working in higher educationTechnical proficiency in relevant applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google SuiteStrong communication skillsKnowledge Areas and Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to effectively gather, interpret, organize, and present data and information independentlyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Administrative/office experience, optimally in a higher educational settingBachelor's degreePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work in an office setting, with or without accommodations, to include: sitting, standing, moving about the office and campus, prolonged work at a computer.Ability to bend, stoop and lift items weighing up to 20-25 pounds.Job Exempt:NoSalary Range:18.50-20.00
The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
