About Your Work
The
Procurement Manager
is responsible for overseeing the procurement process within the organization, ensuring that goods and services are sourced in a cost-effective, timely, and efficient manner. This role involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with various departments to meet the company's operational needs. The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in maintaining the quality of products and services, minimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
You will work remotely and must be willing to work on California hours from approximately 8:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Time.
You Will Focus On:
The key functions would include a blend of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and compliance tailored to the unique needs of the healthcare industry.
Strategic Sourcing and Supplier ManagementDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with Altais' goals, focusing on sourcing supplies, technology solutions, and other critical healthcare-related products and services.Identify and qualify suppliers who can meet the stringent quality and compliance requirements of the healthcare industry, ensuring that products and services are delivered reliably and cost-effectively.Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, managing performance, and ensuring long-term partnerships that support the company's strategic objectives.Negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring that terms meet the specific needs of Altais, including compliance with healthcare regulations, cost-effectiveness, and service level agreements.Ensure all contracts adhere to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards, particularly in the highly regulated healthcare environment. Regularly review contracts to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.Work to optimize value in procurement activities by balancing cost, quality, and supply chain efficiency, crucial for maintaining Altais Health Solutions' competitive edge.Ensure that all procurement activities comply with healthcare industry regulations, such as FDA guidelines, HIPAA, and other relevant standards.Identify and manage risks associated with procurement, including supply chain disruptions, vendor reliability, and regulatory compliance. Develop contingency plans to address potential supply chain issues.Collaborate with the operations teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring that critical healthcare supplies are available when needed while minimizing waste and excess inventory.Work closely with other departments such as clinical operations, finance, IT, and legal to understand their procurement needs and align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure that the procurement of medical supplies and technology meets the specific needs of healthcare providers and patients.Continuous Improvement and Innovation
Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery. Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.Explore and integrate innovative sourcing strategies and technologies, such as AI-driven procurement platforms, to stay ahead in a competitive healthcare landscape.Leverage procurement technologies and systems to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and improve decision-making through data analytics.Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, compliance, and market trends.Corporate Responsibility - Sustainability and Diversity
Implement strategies that migrate toward sustainable and divers procurement practices that align with Altais Health Solutions' commitment to corporate social responsibility, including sourcing from environmentally responsible and ethical suppliers.The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience with 5+ years in procurement or supply chain management, with a track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier management.This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership and negotiation skills, capable of driving value through effective procurement practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly articulate regulatory viewpoints to a diverse audience.Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Knowledge of procurement best practices, market conditions, and industry regulations.Proficiency in procurement software and systems.Project management background and ability constructively manage non-direct reports to achieve common goals.Experience working with multiple, cross functional areas in a matrixed team environment.You Share our Mission & Values

This base pay range is specific to California and can vary based on Bay Area, Metro LA, and Greater California regions which may not be applicable to other locations.
