Our client is searching for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join their Supply Chain team. The Senior Procurement Specialist is a key leadership role responsible for managing and optimizing complex procurement processes. The position involved developing strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating and managing high-value contracts, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires broad expertise in procurement best practices, particularly within the Oil and Gas industry, including a detailed understanding of pipe, valves, and fittings (PVF) products, and the Upstream, Downstream, and Midstream markets.Key Results AreasStrategic Sourcing and Cost ManagementDevelop and execute strategic sourcing plans to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and enhance overall procurement efficiencyIdentify and assess potential suppliers, fostering relationships to secure competitive advantagesImplement cost-effective procurement strategies without compromising qualityEstablish and manage procurement budgets, analyzing spending patterns and identifying opportunities for cost reductionContract Negotiation and ManagementLead negotiations for high-value contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditionsMonitor and manage supplier contracts, identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvementMaintain a portfolio of complex suppliers and oversee demand planningBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partnersConduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with vendors to drive continuous improvementCollaborate with the Data Management team on vendor maintenance, including pricing tiers, promotions, and points of contactSupport the Accounts Payables team to ensure prompt payments status with vendorsCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations and project management, to understand procurements needs and align strategies accordinglyProvide procurement expertise and guidance to cross-functional teamsProcurement Process Optimization and Operational EfficiencyOversee the end-to-end procurement process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practiceEnsure compliance with procurement policies, industry regulations, and legal requirementsManage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, optimizing efficiency and reducing lead teamsImplement and maintain procurement best practices, including ERP demand planning checklists, automated replenishment plans (ARPS, and warehouse transfersSupervise service desk tickets and respond to business requests within agreed SLAsIdentify and assess risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate potential disruptionsStay informed about market trends and global events that may impact procurement activitiesTeam Leadership and MentorshipProvide leadership to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvementMentor and develop team members, facilitating training and skill enhancementUtilize procurement technologies and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiencyStay abreast of technological advancements in procurement and recommend relevant tools for adoptionIndustry ExpertiseProficient in Oil and Gas procurement with a high-level understanding of the O&G industry, including Upstream, Downstream, Midstream, and PVF sectorsIn-depth knowledge of PVF industry compliance, quality assurance, and networkingMaintain and leverage existing supplier relationships within the PVF industry for organizational benefitSkills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree preferredMinimum of eight (8) years of experience in procurement, with a significant focus on the Oil and Gas industry, preferably Pipe, Valves, and Fittings productsProven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor managementStrong understanding of procurement technologies and best practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCertifications in procurement or supply chain management, such as CPSM or CSCP, are desiredAdvatix, Inc. is one of the world’s leading providers of e-commerce Supply Chain and Logistics Consulting Services and Solutions that enable its clients to transform their operations for speed, service, and cost of fulfillment and delivery of goods and services.
