Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager/Senior Resins Buyer who can work with our sales and manufacturing groups to play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic sourcing for Commodities, (RESINS) and manufacturing components, vendor management, and negotiating favorable contracts within the manufacturing domain. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can drive efficiency, cost savings, and collaborative relationships within our supply chain. Experience working as an Automotive supplier a plus as is experience sourcing resins.
Strategic Sourcing:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
Lead resin supply risk discussions with resin suppliers to ensure current production is supported with no supply disruption and any expediting costs are appropriateDevelop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with the unique requirements of the manufacturing sectorCultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, contracts, and agreements, ensuring the best value for the organization.Support for commodity purchasing in Resin shortage issues, escalating within resin supply base to protect supply.Cost Optimization: .
Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency.Analyze market trends and pricing to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining high quality standardsRisk Management:
Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure the continuity of supply.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and quality, to understand and support their procurement needs.Provide procurement expertise to support overall business objectives.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and quality standards.Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.Proven experience as a Procurement Manager, preferably within the automotive sector.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, processes, and best practices.Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.Proficient in using procurement software and tools.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Ideal candidate will have experience sourcing for plastics or molding manufacturing. #MHIN2
