Job Overview:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the efficient acquisition of machinery, parts, and services. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to identify and select suppliers that align with company goals.Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production teams to forecast material needs and avoid shortages or excess stock.Cost Analysis:
Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for savings, ensuring the best value for the company.Compliance:
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to understand material requirements and specifications.Market Research:
Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance to senior management.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years experience in procurement, preferably in the machinery or manufacturing industry.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of supply chain principles and practices.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to sourcing and supplier management.
