The Controller will work closely with the CFO and other key personnel to maintain a well-organized general ledger and financial statements while adhering to US GAAP compliance. The Controller will work closely to develop and institute controls and procedures to protect the Company's assets and ensure all accounting records are complete and accurate.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Assists the CFO in preparing the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAPResponsible for preparing (or reviewing) cash reconciliationsOversee month-end and year-end close processPosts all required monthly journal entries, reconciles balance sheets and inventory in multiple locations, and performs overhead allocations.Assists the CFO in the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts and assists in providing information for the budgeting/reforecasting, and cash forecasting processesAssists the CFO in preparation of monthly WIP reportsDocument internal control policies and procedures and monitors application of key controls as deemed necessaryReconciles all intercompany balance sheet and income statement accountsCoordinates with external 401k and financial statement auditors ensuring that audits are completed timelyAssure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returnsApprove GL coding of new payroll hires and reporting of payroll into general ledgerAssist the CFO on a wide variety of special projectsRequirements:

Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance.Preferred candidate will have experience in construction industry and/or local market experience with understanding of percentage completion accounting and over/under billings calculations.Having worked in a CPA firm as an external auditor is a plus.10+ years of experience in progressing Accounting and Financial roles with 5+ years of managerial experienceExperience applying GAAP standards, including complex accounting pronouncements, such as ASC 606 and 842Detail oriented, professional, and reliable attitudeAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
