Position Overview:
ALD Lighting seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lighting Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design with client interfacing and project management experience. Candidate must be able to run a project from design concept through completion with team member(s), while demonstrating the ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and MS Office Suite. This position is based out of our El Segundo office.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Lighting Designer, you will be considered a first-level project manager. Your responsibilities will include leading projects, coordinating client meetings, and advancing project design. You will also be entrusted with managing projects. In your role, you will:Collaborate with clients to understand their lighting design needs and preferences, providing expert advice and solutionsDevelop and present creative and innovative lighting concepts and designs tailored to client requirementsUtilize AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite to present ideas, produce detailed lighting plans, and documentation for projectsUtilize AGI to photometrically model and test designsManage the lighting design process from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budgetConduct on-site evaluations to assess existing lighting conditions and make recommendations for improvementStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable lighting practices.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the design teamRequirements
Education : Bachelor's degree or above in Lighting Design/ Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related education.
Experience:
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in lighting designProven client interfacing experience, showcasing effective communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and AGI software for lighting design and documentationStrong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of successful lighting design projectsFamiliarity with the Los Angeles market and regulatory requirementsAbility to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamExceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detailKnowledge of sustainable lighting practices and emerging technologies

Salary: Starting at 90K commensurate with years of experience. This role is bonus eligible.
