Overview
The Manufacturers Association of Central New York (MACNY) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented
Training Coordinator
to support a growing training department. The ideal candidate has experience with training or event coordination, is highly organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously, is customer-focused, and has strong communication and critical thinking skills.
The
Training Coordinator
will coordinate with trainers to offer MACNY members a wide range of training and development opportunities; design training schedules; provide a best-in-class experience for in-person, virtual, and hybrid training event attendees; serve as the main point of contact for training inquiries; maintain records for the training department; prepare training materials; support administrative needs of the training department; and other various projects.

Respond to (and follow up on) all training inquiries as the initial point of contact, both by phone and email Process incoming training registrations Process inquires for custom training proposals
Trainer Communications
Communicate with trainers to schedule sessions and share important information Maintain trainer database Maintain up-to-date records for the various training opportunities offered by MACNY and our partners
Training Coordination
Reserve in-person training spaces and set up virtual meetings Responsible for sending reminder emails for all trainings, including important class details Prepare and distribute name badges, sign in sheets, and class materials/binders for all training sessions Provide in-office administrative support for all trainings, including arriving early for trainer set up, room set up, welcoming attendees, making coffee, stocking fridges/snack areas, ordering lunches (when applicable), cleaning up and resetting the room after the session, etc. Follow up with training participants with event evaluations - collecting feedback and sharing results Preparation and distribution of certificates of completion for all trainings Prepare custom training proposals in coordination with training partners and requesting party
Other
Contribute ideas to make each training class an outstanding experience for all attendees Support virtual meeting technology (Zoom and Webex) in the office and in training rooms Assist with ordering office and kitchen supplies and keeping kitchens supplied for events, training, etc. Provide administrative support for training department

Qualifications
1-2 years previous training coordination or event coordination experience Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Self-motivated Ability to manage evolving directives and competing deadlines Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in online meeting tools, preferably Zoom Experience with Salesforce or other CRM preferred Experience with project management software preferred Willingness to learn new programs and skills Company Website
