Your Opportunity:As a Software Architect at Taylor, you will be responsible for envisioning and designing the architecture of our software systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and driving the implementation of best practices in software design and development. This position is open to be 100% remote! Your Responsibilities: Architectural Design: Develop and communicate the overall software architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Design scalable, modular, and maintainable software systems. Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide guidance on technical decisions, coding standards, and best practices. System Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize the performance of existing systems. Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Drive innovation by introducing new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve the development process. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software components. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions, design patterns, and best practices. Foster a culture of documentation within the development team. You Must Have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field 10+ years of relevant work experience Comfortable and experienced with working in an Agile Scrum environment with daily standups, 2 week sprints, refinement, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, Javascript, Mobile platforms like VueJs, Angular, or React) Proven experience writing and maintaining unit tests Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities About Taylor Corporation One of the largest graphics communications firms in North America, Taylor's family of companies provide a diverse set of products, services, and technologies addressing the toughest communication challenges.
