Job Description:Responsible for coordination of all purchases and purchasing procedures for the assigned repair shop. Includes maintenance documentation that keeps track of purchases, placing orders, and answers questions in regards to the status of the various orders. Job Requirements:Manage inventory while supporting productionManage cost through efficient procurement of production materials and consumablesVendor Managed InventoryConsignment InventoryManage Material Handlers, AnalystsAdhere to regulatory requirementsWork with scheduling to ensure material requirements are reviewed and materials available to meet production demandRequired/Preferred Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A minimum of 5 years in a production or quality-based environment is required.H.S. diploma or equivalent required, 2-3 years purchasing experience desired but not required.Previous manufacturing experience required.Basic understanding of math.Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products (i.e. word and excel).Creative problem-solving skills and basic bookkeeping skills.May be required to upgrade his/her skills from time to time by completing outside classes.Ability to collect and analyze data to propose solutions to procurement-related problems.Must have the ability to work alone or in groups to get tasks completed.This position has the potential to grow into a management-level position.What We Offer:Transco strives to be the Employer of Choice.
