Comcasts Northeast Division is seeking dynamic, self-motivated intern participants who have a strong passion to drive the age of innovation through our immersive summer experience!Our 10-week paid internship program gives participants hands-on experience working with various groups across multiple office locations within Comcasts Northeast Division. Plus, we build in time for you to network with senior leaders and enjoy collaborative activities with your fellow program participants.**Role Overview:**The Northeast Division Business Development department works to expand the markets for Comcast's products and services through network expansion and build out into new areas. The Engineering Intern Participants will assist full-time project coordinators and managers on a variety of projects and will contribute to one or more areas of expertise in collaboration with various cross-functional project teams.This role is an exciting opportunity that will focus on supporting the execution of significant projects that will require exceptional organizational skills and a customer-first mindset to succeed within a fast-paced environment.You may also:+ Provide strategic and project support for new and existing technology and facilities+ Perform basic research on root cause of technical problems+ Assist in the development and enhancement of production applications, including working with applications, technical support, and operations during the design, development, and implementation of applications+ Work closely with our current business development team and cross-functional partners across engineering, construction, and permitting to develop a systemic method to detect locations of utility poles from street view imagery across the Northeast Division operating states+ Assist manager in implementing and maintaining monitoring processes for services, network performance, network maintenance, telecommunications maintenance, and overall network performance/reliability+ Other duties and responsibilities as assigned**Basic Qualifications/Requirements:**+ Currently pursuing a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university+ Authorized to work in the United States of America+ Ability to work 35-40 hours per week over 10 weeks+ Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance+ Ability to work in both independent and collaborative environments+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)**Preferred Background:**+ Prior business exposure through internships, work experiences, or campus organizations+ Currently pursuing a major in an Engineering related major including: Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Secure Computing and Networks, or related majorInterest in the telecommunications, cable, and media industriesComcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
