As our Software Quality Engineer, you will oversee the software/hardware/systems development to assure the approved processes are being followed and compliance to relevant industry standards is achieved.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Software Quality Assurance activities (SQA) such as review audits, test conformity and witnessing, baseline reviews, software release reviews, in-process audits, conformity reviews, etc.
Assist in determining compliance of the development plans against relevant industry standards. Training in making recommendations for improvements to the team to be in compliance
Perform and learn Configuration Management (CM) activities, processes, and concepts while working on assigned programs
Participate in the design and development process, ensuring that plans and processes are followed
Conduct effective supplier process validation by reviewing supplier SQA records
Prepare software quality records for all SQA activities
Serve as member of Configuration Control Board (CCB) on assigned programs. Ensure that the established change process is followed
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Demonstrates
familiarity
(typically one – three years of experience) with the above duties and responsibilities and skills listed below for consideration as Software Quality Engineer (associate level).
Demonstrates
proficiency
(typically five or more years of direct experience) with the above duties and responsibilities and skills listed below for consideration as Sr. Software Quality Engineer.
Office suite software to include intermediate Excel skills
Programming

As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Must be a US Person under ITAR
to be eligible.

Base salary range for Software Quality Engineer is $79,293 - $118,940
Base salary range for Sr. Software Quality Engineer is $102,687 ~ 154,031
Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
