power supply and/or power conversion products .

This is a hybrid / on-site position that offers flexibility to work from home part of the time dependent on project needs.
Job Summary:
This role involves leading the engineering development and providing technical support for contracted programs, bids, proposals, and internal research and development initiatives. The engineer will collaborate with marketing to define new product concepts and strategies. This position requires leadership capabilities, extensive technical expertise, mentoring aptitude, and strong presentation skills. With a broad range of experience, the engineer will utilize professional principles and company goals to address and resolve complex challenges. The role demands a high level of creativity, engineering acumen, and sound judgment in the application of engineering principles, all while working independently and driving innovation.
Duties & Responsibilities:Contribute to and complete development projects on a mutually agreeable budget and schedule.Provide technical leadership in identifying solutions for specific applications and products (trade studies, analyses/simulations circuit design, design verification)Responsible for the technical aspects of design and development of power supplies, USB OUs and other electronics for commercial aircraft. Present analyses and technical rational at internal and external reviews.Resolve technical problems with a high degree of analytical expertise and originality to drive problems to resolution.Create and release technical documentation.Incorporate lessons learned and best practices into work products.Develop and support test procedures and reports to ensure compliance with DO-160, Boeing, and Airbus standards and requirements.Use OrCAD, SPICE, and SABER software.Provide Electrical Engineering Team leadership on a product development or research project.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical EngineeringDemonstrated proficiency in the duties & responsibilities of the role / direct experience with design of power supply products; Typically obtained with five (5) or more years of direct experience in power supply design product similar to those at Astronics AES.Broad experience with advanced simulation tools: OrCAD, SPICE, and SABERExperience designing to DO-160 and other applicable standardsEMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and
drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis .
Base salary range is $102,687- $154,031 per year.
