Description
Aurora wouldn't be an industry leader in providing energy market forecasts, analysis, insights, and consultancy without our successful commercial team.
We are seeking a Commercial Associate to sell our products and services which help the transition towards a more sustainable world. You will work in a dynamic pan-North American team, responsible for sales and account management activities of our subscription and software services.
You will play a key role in all aspects of client interactions and business development. The role will focus on being the client face of Aurora, creating and maintaining commercial opportunities for our full range of products, with customers within your designated power market. A successful candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, interest in energy markets, exceptional organizational skills and communications skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to nurture client relationships.
You will work in a young, dynamic, stimulating, demanding and collaborative environment. You will join our North American commercial team, which is continuously growing and offers an accelerated path for progression through geographical and product offering expansion (including new research products and software-based solutions).
Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent Aurora commercially across an array of clients showcasing a comprehensive understanding of our offeringsQualify, develop, and maintain sales opportunities by leveraging product knowledge and understanding how our solutions address consumer needsGenerate new leads and grow account relationships to develop a robust customer pipelineMeet with clients to discuss our offerings and deliver commercial proposals to customersUse Salesforce CRM to ensure standard processes during all sales stagesNegotiate and contract structured offersManage accounts to deliver great customer experience and high engagementGather market intelligence and client feedback to assist research teams in new product development and to improve our existing offeringsCollaborate with marketing to develop new marketing material and identify sales channelsSupport the development of Aurora's long-term commercial strategy in North America and globallyWhat we are looking for
Required attributes:
Prior experience in relevant areas (Renewables, Energy, Sales, Commercial roles)Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degreeStrong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition to create opportunities for impact and commercial success.Demonstrated interest in renewable energy or power markets; Enthusiasm and curiosity about the energy transitionExcellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate autonomouslyOutstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded people.Evidence of strong collaborative performance to thrive in team-oriented rolesA can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed e.g. improving internal systems and processes.Desirable attributes:
Sales, business development and client relationship experience in the energy industry, especially in energy research/analytics subscription salesAmple experience with Salesforce or other CRM system is beneficialPrevious professional exposure to energy economics, power markets and power networks would be an advantageDemonstrated success in client-facing positions and managing competing prioritiesKnowledge and familiarity with US power markets, with a focus on one ISOWhat we offer
