Job Overview
We are a fast-growing B-Corp startup that strongly believes every kencko-er we hire is a key part of our shared success. As our new National Accounts Manager, Foodservice Sales you will be responsible for the development and execution strategy to drive sales of kencko branded products to leading foodservice channel accounts and distributors. You will source, develop and nurture customer relationships, direct and manage sales brokers and distributors, assess market competitiveness and develop item assortment. This newly created position is ready for the right "entrepreneurial minded" self-starter to build kencko's presence in Food Service and Alternate Channels from the ground up! You'll have the support of a broker team (which you'll also manage), and an engaged internal cross-functional team to support you along the way.
Responsibilities
You'll understand the full scope of the market/opportunity: Research and target high leverage accounts Food Service and Alternate (non-commercial) channels - including but not limited to restaurants, hotels/hospitality, universities, and offices.You'll build a solid, yet nimble strategy: Develop a strategic and operational sales plan to deliver budgeted sales and gross margin targets.You'll see the plan through from ideas to execution: Collaborate with the commercial and marketing teams to create and grow a key account portfolio, with an objective of delivering growth targets.You'll help internal teams build experience and knowledge: Communicate customer needs and market trends to key internal stakeholders.You're laser focused on KPIs: Ongoing analysis, optimization and reporting of business performance, with a focus on conversion funnel, margin, and broker/distributor management.You're an ambassador. Strengthen the brand through representation at trade shows and partnership events.You have the experience, vision and energy to run the channel. Potential to own the P&L for the Food Service/Alternate ChannelQualifications
5+ years sales/business development, with hands-on experience across all aspects of the selling cycle, within food service wholesale distributionExtensive experience managing and collaborating with food service brokers and distributorsHighly developed negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships with a wide range of influence skillsExpert understanding of the food service industry with an emphasis on national accountsDirect P&L responsibilityAbility to wear multiple hats and multi-task with relentless attention to detailMust demonstrate strong ownership and ability to take initiatives in problem solvingAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a growth mindset, manage multiple situations concurrently, and work independentlyA passion for our brand and portfolio!Bachelor's degree emphasizing Sales or Marketing, or equivalent business experienceAbility to travel as needed.What We Offer
