Our Summer Intern program offers students a paid opportunity to work in a technical environment and contribute to our food safety & quality programs. The opportunity will provide real-life experiences to apply your education. Responsible for the completion of assigned project work related to process informatics in support of continuous improvement initiatives, this individual will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with people, labs, and equipment to drive food safety and quality programs for our plants. They will work with a talented team who have extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry.We look forward to providing an enriching and exciting opportunity for a student to learn more about the Food & Beverage Industry.NOTE: This paid internship is for 2025, temporary full-time for approximately 3 months during normal business hours Monday-Friday. Intern will be working in our HP Hood Technical Center in Wilmington, MA. Potential travel to other Hood facilities as opportunities arise.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Conducts assigned projects while increasing the incumbent's level of understanding of projects, processes, and methods.Provides technical or scientific direction through research on assigned project.Exhibits innovation in discovery, advancement, and evaluation of current technologies in the area of food safety and qualityProvides innovative and timely cost-effective improvements, concepts, developments, or scientific insight and understanding with respect to new or existing products or processes.Maintains a professional record of the work completed.

Education and Experience:Food and Agricultural Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology, and other Biological Sciences; Undergraduate and Graduate Levels
