Summary:
The Business Development Representative will play a critical role in identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities within K-12 school districts. This role involves extensive email and phone outreach to book meetings with district representatives and promote our services and products. The Business Development Representative is an instrumental team member working collaboratively to meet weekly KPIs and generate leads that supports a rapid growth environment.
Responsibilities:
Prospecting:
Identify and research potential K-12 districts that could benefit from our talent recruitment and retention solutions.
Outreach:
Provide a basic product description to prospects: answer questions and provide product information in advance of scheduling a demo.
Outreach:
Schedule demos with prospective customers: schedule appointments, providing supporting material where required.
Outreach:
Conduct email and phone outreach to district administrators and key decision-makers to generate interest and book meetings.
Qualifying Leads:
Assess the needs and fit of potential clients through effective questioning and listening.
Meeting Coordination:
Schedule and confirm meetings for the sales team with qualified leads.
Follow-Up:
Maintain consistent follow-up with potential clients through various communication channels.
CRM Management:
Update and manage information in the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies and improve lead generation processes.
Reporting:
Provide regular reports on outreach activities, lead generation, and meeting bookings.
Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Pre-MBA candidates are encouraged to apply.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years experience in sales, business development, or a related field is required.
Experience with K-12 districts or educational services is a plus.
