We are seeking a 1LoD Control Testing Quality Assurance and Operations Manager to join our newly established Centralized 1LoD Control Testing function (1LoD Testing). This 1LOD Testing team aims to standardize and enhance our control testing practices across all Business Units and Corporate Functions. As a key member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting risk management activities across the organization.
In this role, reporting into the Head of 1LoD Control Testing, you will collaborate closely with partners across NTC's global operations. Your responsibilities will include managing a small team of professionals to develop and implement testing policies, standards, and templates, the maintain the integrated testing calendar and staffing allocation assessments, perform upkeep of relevant platforms and tools and execute a quality assurance approach to ensure consistent application of the Control Testing standards and procedures.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Develop, socialize and implement 1LOD testing standards, methodologies and templates.Establish and execute a quality assurance approach to ensure that all testing is conducted in accordance with these standards and that any deviations are promptly addressed.In collaboration with the Head of 1LoD Control Testing, help drive operating model changes which promote greater testing effectiveness, including determining ongoing control testing needs for all control testing requirementsDevelop and maintain an integrated testing calendar that outlines all planned testing activitiesOversee the maintenance of our control testing platform and tools. Ensure that all tools are functioning properly and that any issues are promptly addressedWorking closely with the Training team, develop and deliver training programs to ensure that all team members are fully aware of new or updated standards and procedures.Prepare and distribute reports on test results, issues, and other relevant information. Ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed of our risk management activities and potential impacts to risk profile of the firm.The successful candidate will benefit from having:
Bachelor's degree10+ years of experience with various types of testing experience, preferably in a Global Systemically Important Bank (GSIB) or similar financial institution.Great skills across communication, facilitation, interpersonal, conflict resolution, team building, ability to teach/train, etc.Ability to establish trust-based relationships with stakeholders across enterprise, lead them towards common objectivesStrong understanding of risk management principles and practicesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong data visualization skillsSelf-motivated with strong collaboration and influencing skillsAbility manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines
