**Purpose: This person is a member of the Centralized in-house analytics and operational support team. This team is primarily responsible for data collection and analysis of the processes and products manufactured at Saft Cockeysville.
Responsibilities:
Work with controls engineers and process engineers to determine what data to collect and the most efficient way to collect and store this data.Process, review, and publish data in a manner that aids in decision making.Characterize the relationship between assembly process data and the resulting product performanceEnsure consistency in data capture, data storage, and data processing methodologyCentral person for Digital 4.0 project initiativesTrain users of all levels in the tool developed by the data analytics departmentTroubleshoot production issuesDevelop systems that are in line with production uptime requirements.Support the implementation and operation of a site level Manufacturing Execution SystemImplement data capture improvements to enable full traceability of as built configurations.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
BS in Technical discipline, computer science, and/or evidence of exceptional experienceBasic programing ability in SQL and PLCsExperience with data visualization toolsKnowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.Working knowledge of FMEA, Control Plan, and SPC approach for risk mitigation.Practical application in PDCA and DMAIC team based problem solving.Ability to interpret product engineering specifications and prints.Skilled in data analysis using various software tools to measure and manage performance.Must be available via phone for 24/7 plant support.Self-starter with curiosity about processes and products willing to dive into problemsStrong sense of team and ability to bridge cross functional groups to achieve desired outcomes.
