Job Title: Convention Services Supervisor

Job Pay Range: $19.00 - $27.00 / per hour

*$19.00-$27.00 per hour based on $17.00-$19.00 per hour base wage + service charge paid per shift; historically, this position averages service commission earnings of $2.00-$8.00 per hour. Service charge will fluctuate based on time of year.

As a member of the Convention Services Team, this position will support the banquet team, conference manager team and other hotel departments by supervising and assisting the Convention Services Set-up Crew team in the completion of all set-ups, breakdown and clean-up for meetings/events.

What you will be doing: Supervise, assist and direct a crew of one to 12 employees. Organize and supervise daily workload for the Set-up Crew. Assign and direct the set-up duties relative to preparing for functions. Assist Set-up Crew in physical set-up, cleaning and arrangement of tables and equipment. Monitor and ensure all policies, procedures and regulations are followed. Schedule breaks based on projected workload and according to federal law. Inspect all function rooms and set-ups for cleanliness, damage, and accuracy. Check all rooms for completeness and ensure that rooms/function space is set-up to guest expectations and banquet event order/diagram directions. Perform meeting room inspections and make/track work orders for repair. Carry out instructions from Convention Services Manager and all Conference Managers. Create and monitor staff schedule to ensure proper shift coverage. Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions. Properly maintain, store and secure all departmental equipment. Assist Manager with performance appraisals and disciplinary actions for Set-up Crew. Assist placing orders with outside vendors and coordinate set-up/removal dates & times. Monitor and report condition of property. Operate equipment and vehicles. Assist other departments as necessary. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. What we are looking for:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior guest services or administrative experience helpful; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds with assistance.
