Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Pay Rate: $60,000-70,000

As a member of our Human Resources team, this Benefits Coordinator position is responsible developing and enhancing the employment experience at The BROADMOOR through exemplary support and guidance to employees throughout their tenure via a variety of employee relations functions.

What you will be doing:

Conduct weekly departmental walkthroughs with Department Managers. Responds to employee questions, issues, and concerns. Review employee performance concerns and lead progressive disciplinary procedures as applicable, including involuntary termination procedures when appropriate Coordinate and conduct employee investigations as needed Complete and file First Report of Injury with insurance carrier in a timely manner. Work with Sedgwick, our TPA on managing all worker's compensation claims. Complete and file accidents on OSHA log. Complete OSHA log 300 on an ongoing basis. Set up and maintain employee accident files. Perform case management and follow-up meetings on each accident and workers' compensation case. Review and process unemployment claims. Assists with and/or lead unemployment hearings. Organize and conduct quarterly Workers' Compensation open case review with carrier(s), attorneys and other appropriate parties. Verifies and audits Workers' Compensation billing. Maintain and Secure all physician notes from employees to ensure HIPPA compliance. Ensures OSHA compliance & training is consistent throughout the Hotel. Coordinate and manage modified duty and return to work programs. Administers the driver's license record check program. Assist with safety training for New Employee Orientation and other platforms as needed Work with the Training team to create and implement safety training. Responsible for tracking the worker's compensation budget Reviews Exit Questionnaires and conducts exit interviews. Compiles results and responds to concerns or themes with department managers in a timely manner. Partner with Employment Team in pre-employment matters such as criminal background checks and standard compliance functions. Participate in planning and execution of all internal communications strategies and functions. Assist the Director of Human Resources with special projects as assigned.

What we are looking for: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required, BS or BA degree preferred Minimum 2 years progressive experience in Human Resources function required, including prior experience related Workers' Compensation claims and Unemployment. Experience conducting workplace investigations, interviewing and taking statements, report writing, and collecting information required. Prior experience supporting Customer Service employees required; prior Hospitality experience preferred. Strong interpersonal communication skills Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times. *Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities*
