Job Description
This role is the key contact for assigned accounts in order to provide effective strategic and tactical sales direction and communications strategies to defend existing business, improve profitability of existing business, and to profitably develop new business. Implements strategy, business and marketing plans for assigned accounts including market research, competitive intelligence, product positioning, product line evolution and product innovation. This role is focused on growth of an assigned territory that includes new account acquisition and share of wallet, typically higher focus on share of wallet.
WHAT YOU GET TO DODeliver strategic and sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned accounts.Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networkingOpens new accounts, expands sales on existing accountsPossess a detailed knowledge of Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive market, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfil Amcor's Winning Aspiration to be the leading global packaging companyManage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needsBuild relationships with customers based upon trust and respectOrchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting Amcor's interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actionsReport and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reportingDrive forecast accuracy for improved business resultsManages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit departmentWork with Strategic Marketing to identify, analyze and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needsBuild highly collaborative relationships between Amcor and your account/s to include: senior leadership, procurement, engineering, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, key Amcor global contacts etc. with a view of enhancing sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer needsResponsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM toolCoordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trialsCommunicates competitive developments in his/her account base regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report systemAct as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priorityDemonstrate Amcor's values - Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Social Responsibility, and InnovationWHAT WE VALUE
