QA Supervisor – 2 nd Shift

We are looking for a QA Supervisor (2 nd Shift) to join our team based in Colorado. This individual will be responsible for the supervision of all daily production floor activities as it relates to quality. This position will coordinate quality activities and provide leadership to ensure an effective food safety and quality management system is maintained. Provide technical support with an emphasis on customer expectations, continuous improvement opportunities, and productivity requirements. This position is responsible for the supervision of all daily production floor activities as it relates to quality and QA technicians. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of products.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervises daily activities of QA Technicians to ensure all QA tasks are carried as desiredProvides guidance regarding quality and food safety issues to ops and QA teamsCoach, train, and support the QA team to support business growthCommunicates daily with FSQA Techs regarding production schedule and QA issuesTrains FSQA Techs and performs new employee orientationsMaintain inventory of QC/lab supplies and coordinate training from suppliers or new equipment purchasedWorks with QA Manager to discipline workers as appropriateReviews and organized operational paperwork on a daily basisSupport the execution of internal and third-party audits (e.g., customer, regulatory GFSI, etc.) and participate in inspections; analyzing the results and deficiencies foundSupports production managers, supervisors and leads during formula changes and/or product issuesAssist with the activities of the company hold, trace, & recall program. Responsible for summarizing Hold reportsAssists in familiarizing employees with plant operations as part of company safety programsAssumes some responsibilities of the QA Manager in his/her absenceServe as backup to the Quality MangerPerforms assignments in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), policies and proceduresSupport ops and other support teams in reducing foreign object contaminationOversee product releasesDisplays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive influence on the production floorPerforms daily product review and customer complaint reviews
