Position: Supervisor FSQA
Location: Brockton
Direct Report: FSQA Manager
Job Purpose:
The Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the production and distribution of Uno Foods products meet the required company and regulatory standards.
Job Duties:• Monitor and audit all FSQA Technician checks and verifications
o Work with the FSQA team on troubleshooting non-conforming processes, products, and procedures
o Document all of the above• Monitor and audit product:
o Settings, Parameters, Speeds, Film and box specs
o Work with the Production Supervisors and Leads in investigations, corrective and preventive measures on non-conforming products• Train and keep the FSQA team current with all information from one-on-one meetings with the FSQA Manager• Take the lead in monitoring and auditing processes when new or updated products are being run• Conduct weekly GMP Inspection, document findings, and put corrective measures in place• Work with and update weekly Production Schedule for USDA Inspector• Conduct EMP Swabbing, document, and arrange pick-up• Work with the Chemical Company rep during routine visits• Conduct testing and pick up for:
o Raw material
o Water potability• Create and post monthly Good Manufacturing Practice posters on the Communication Wall in the Handwash area
o Monitor the GMP processes
o Coach and retrain on GMP processes• Add data to, cross reference, and maintain:
o QC Hold Log
o Non-Conformance Workbook
o Change Orders Forms
o Retained Shelf-Life Trending Log
o ATP swab information• Collect information and create the 1st Shift FSQA Sample Spec Email• Manage FSQA Techs/ Leads ADP requests and update in the system• Place, monitor data and report Temp tale information• Enter data and maintain the Training Matrix• Conduct New Employee Plant Orientation• Lead in Annual Program refresher Trainings• Maintain calibrations of Metal Detectors, ATP Unit, & Scales• Create labels and maintain the Labeling Program• Create and email the Disposal Record of Destruction• Investigate and document Non-Conformances• Update and maintain the Master Oven Recipe File for both lines• Create and translate SOP's• Assist in the Customer Complaint Program
Skill/Qualifications:• Leadership and supervisory experience.• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Excellent organizational skills required.• HACCP certification required.• GFSI certification a plus• Knowledge of Microsoft Office• Physical ability to work in a production environment with frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, climbing and lifting required.• Ability to work flexible hours.
Minimum Education & Experience:• Bachelor's degree in food science, Biology or equivalent job experience• Minimum of three years' experience in Quality Control and/or Leadership role in a food processing and production environment.• Multiple language skills a plus.• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Work Conditions:• Warm & Cold (35-45F) temperatures (varies seasonally).• High noise levels in some areas of the plant.• Sudden schedule changes during seasonal volumes.• Physical ability to work in a production environment with frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching, climbing and lifting required.
