Visit www.atf.gov Responsibilities This position is located under the Office of Human Resources and Professional Development, Human Resources Ops. Division, Payroll Processing & Operations Branch in Washington, District of Columbia. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Chief, Payroll Processing and Operations Branch (PPOB), which consists of teams organized to provide employee personnel and payroll data management support, PPOB also supports the WebTA system, which is the Bureau's automated Time and Attendance and the National Finance Center System (NFC), which provides employees with payroll and benefits self-service functionality. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, GS-0201-14, your typical work assignments will include: Plans, directs, schedules, and supervises work performed by the PPOB through subordinate team leaders. Directs the processing of a variety of personnel and payroll actions (e.g. accessions, separations, settlement agreements, lump sum payments). Oversees the administration of Agency billings and collections of salary overpayments. Plans, directs, schedules and oversees the administration of the Bureau's time and attendance program. Oversees administration and maintenance of the electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPF) and payroll folders. Qualifications To qualify for GS-14 candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-14 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Managing or leading a team; AND Applying knowledge of Pay and Compensation policies, regulations, and standards; AND Reviewing, analyzing, and resolving payroll and personnel system errors; AND Providing technical advice to senior management, supervisors and employees on a wide variety of payroll and related pay and leave administration issues. Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
