Apply today for your chance to make a career move to an industry leader with an outstanding reputation!Responsibilities:Leads the Production Planning & Scheduling and Receiving/Inventory/Material Handling teams. Oversee daily activities, processes, and capabilities all of Enercon's domestic operations.Maintains awareness of job scheduling, material availability, job processing, receiving, inventory control, material handling and logistics as it impacts customer order status. Works decisively to ship orders on time, eliminate any past due, and maintain industry benchmark lead times. Leads frequent organizational Sales & Operations Planning meetings to communicate status of the production schedule across multiple functions.Coordinates with Sales to establish customer order shipment dates based on available capacity in the production schedule. Champions the coordination of activities across Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing when obstacles arise to ensure high internal focus and effectiveness across the organization as it relates to achieving customer shipment dates.Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to optimize the routing and visibility of jobs (Epicor ERP Operations) through Enercon production facilities. Including on-going refinement of production labor standards for stock, configured, and custom engineered products.Generates regular reporting of Key Performance Indicators regarding lead time, on time customer order completion, internal job completion by department, material shortage reporting, labor productivity by department, and shipments forecasts and results.Regularly updates standard lead times for all product categories and sets delivery dates for new orders based on current order backlog and production capacity. Coordinates with Purchasing and Inventory Control to optimize inventory replenishment strategies for stock items and arrival dates of non-stock/purchase direct to job items to maintain consistent flow of jobs through the production process. Develops, implements, and continuously improves an effective inventory cycle counting program and leads physical inventory activities when they occur.Communicates with Quality, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to resolve non-confirming material issues promptly and if necessary, communicate production schedule adjustments to all stakeholders as needed.Assists or leads the development and enhancement of status dashboards and reporting capabilities to increase transparency of past due, current, and historical production status by plant and resource group.Builds a strong working relationship with their team based on communication, trust, mutual accountability, and mutual respect.Ensures team members follow established processes through proper training, creation of standard work, and supervision. Continuously improves the depth and breadth of their own capabilities and those of the Production Planning and Scheduling team.Act as subject matter expert for production planning, scheduling, and job processing functions of the ERP and continuously improves the organizations capabilities and capacity to maintain near 100% on time deliveryDirectly responsible for employee selection, reviewing employee performance, administering work rules, and recommending compensation adjustments.Represents themselves internally and externally in a professional manner in all situations with effective listening, communication, and delegation.May supervise other relevant roles in Inventory, Receiving, Material Handling, Shipping, or Logistics or temporarily act as a backup as needed. Complies with all housekeeping, safety, and quality rules and any relevant regulations. Performs other tasks as required to support company initiatives or annual goals.QualificationsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Operations management, Supply Chain management, Engineering, or other relevant discipline. An equivalent combination of education or experience is acceptable.At least 5 years of experience in production planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing and/or assembly operation. Demonstrated experience with Epicor ERP, or experience in multiple ERP systems and can clearly demonstrate directly translatable knowledge and skill required to get up to speed quickly.Experience leading or supervising teams using clear and effective written and verbal communication.Demonstrated ability to use M.S. Office suite applications.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience working in with Engineered-to-Order, Configured-to-Order, and ship from stock operating models.Prior experience working as a Buyer Planner.Prior experience leading individuals responsible for Production, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, Material Handling, and/or Logistics.
