Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate in Electrical Engineering or related fields to join us as Field Applications Engineers in our Detroit office. In this role, the candidate will collaborate closely with Sales, Field Applications Engineers, and Applications Engineers to advance automotive technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on the next generation of Renesas Automotive Products while developing technical skills and customer-facing communication within a global team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support customer design-ins of Renesas Automotive System-On-Chip products for advanced automotive applications.

Provide hands-on technical support in resolving customer issues, ensuring optimal utilization of Renesas products.

Review electrical circuits with senior engineers and assist in embedded software debugging.

Collaborate with global engineering teams for product requirement analysis, technical reviews, benchmarking, and troubleshooting.

Learn and apply your knowledge in real-world applications and the semiconductor industry.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively address customer concerns and foster positive relationships.

A team-oriented mindset, ready to contribute to innovative projects and collaborative efforts.

Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and their applications in the automotive systems.

Familiarity with Linux OS and debugging on embedded systems is a plus.

Any hands-on support or research experience in the automotive sector, especially involving electrical circuits and embedded software, will be a plus.

Passion for automotive technologies and a willingness to learn and apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
