DESCRIPTION :
The Queens District Attorney’s Office is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to oversee and manage large, complex technology projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions that support the office’s mission.
The Project Manager, IT will perform the following job functions, including, but not limited to:
Project Planning and Management:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.
Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction and support to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding project status, risks, and issues.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with organizational policies and procedures.
Resource Allocation:
Manage project resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to optimize project outcomes.
Performance Tracking:
Utilize project management tools to monitor and report on project progress, performance, and adherence to schedules.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects to improve future project performance.
Preferred Education and Qualification Requirements:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above.
Preferred Skills:
PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of managing large, complex technology projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity principles.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000 (Commensurate with experience)
