RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Administering, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining operating system and related software
Establishing and implementing standards for computer operations for compatibility between hardware and software, according to specifications and parameters
Troubleshooting and resolving software, operating system, and networking problems
Scheduling and monitoring system backups and, when necessary, performing data recoveries
Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation
Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services
Training staff on software applicable to their position, assist customers with information technology, monitors system configuration (hardware and software), and provides instruction on computers and applications .
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification
Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
3 years professional experience in systems administration
Active Secret security clearance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities of this position also include, but are not limited to:
Attending mandatory, annual training sessions
Providing regular status reports to management summarizing progress, challenges, metrics, and recommendations
Collaborating with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination
Attending recurring team meetings or huddles
Assisting in the development of new initiatives
