POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Senior HR Generalist, this role involves verifying, inputting, and filing employee paid leave requests, processing new hires, processing job performance evaluations, and securely managing employee personal data. Responsibilities include assisting with accepting and screening employee applications, retrieving personnel information for management reports, and aiding in employee communication regarding benefits, safety, wellness, and health services. The role also involves staying updated on regulations concerning employee records, maintaining confidentiality, and performing additional related duties as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and does not comprehensively list all functions and tasks performed by position in this class.Provide exceptional guest service to external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you and Goodbye.Responsible for verifying, inputting, and filing employee paid leave requests.Aids in processing all new hires.Responsible for the proper entry, storage, security, and use of employee personal data.Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.Responsible for accepting and screening employee applications.Responsible for retrieving personnel information and aiding in reporting to proper management when requested.Aids in company employee communication regarding benefits, safety, wellness and health services, and counseling.Stays current on all regulations concerning employee records.Performs other related duties as required.Must lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds.Must obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).Must pass a pre-employment drug test.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:Sit for 67-100% of the workday.Computer use and hand and eye coordination 67-100% of the workday.Stand, walk, and climb stairs for 1-33% of the workday.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.An associate degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.One year of Human Resources experience preferred.

Preference will be given to qualified applicants from federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
