Description
Markon is seeking a web developer with a great attitude and enjoys working in a high-pace environment to support one of our Intelligence Customers.
Responsibilities
Design, code, test, and perform evaluations of applications. Develop and deploy new client applications and/or enhancements and analyze existing applications. Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, Fulfill end-user requirements and identify and resolve systems issues; Provide story points for appropriate level of effort of work, and make the appropriate recommendations; Collaborate with analysts, project leads, designers and customers. Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle Write well designed, testable, efficient code in HTML5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript Work on both the front-end and back-end coding environments Ensure all designs follow required specifications Ensure execution on time sensitive projects Work in a team environment and help shape the culture to encourage innovating ideas Participate in peer review to ensure accountability and code quality Ensure 508 compliance Qualifications
Required Skills:
Solid JavaScript skills, including object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, and other client-side frameworks Solid skill and experience with HTML, and CSS - with the ability to quickly learn to apply those skills within a WordPress/PHP environment Working knowledge of design, development, deployment and maintenance of fully-functional web sites and web applications Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility general web functions and standards Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent Experienced with web site and application security measures and practices Desired Skills:
Experience with web design, UI layout, color schemes, and general artistic talent is a huge plus Experience with web development and best practices in WordPress developing themes and/or plugins Experience with web development and best practices in Microsoft SharePoint using SharePoint Designer Knowledge of Agile software development Knowledge of SQL and experience working with various relational database managements systems Familiarity with Cloud services and tool capabilities Knowledge & understanding of the IC communities
Salary Range
USD $180,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.
The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
