About the Role
The Associate Recruiting Coordinator is an integral part of Latham's Associate Recruiting team and will be responsible for supporting all activities and processes involved in associate recruiting throughout each season, while remaining involved in the Summer Associate Program and a variety of other Associate Recruitment initiatives, while supporting the D.C. Recruitment Managers in all phases of associate recruiting efforts, with particular focus on the summer program and law school hiring. This role will be located in our Washington D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Other key responsibilities include:Corresponding with incoming applicants to schedule interview dates and times, and coordinating information for applicant and interviewerWorking with the team members and Recruiting Committee to identify new strategies for marketing and promoting the firm to prospective candidates; completing special projects regarding various issues as needed for the Associate Recruiting DepartmentCoordinating and representing the firm at recruiting events and external functions such as information sessions, panel discussions, and career fairs as appropriateDeveloping and maintaining relationships with career services offices and student organizations to enhance the reputation of the firm in the local, regional, national and international legal marketplaceCoordinating all logistics in connection with the summer program which includes planning orientation, practice group and department overviews, and events; soliciting work; managing budget; and serving as a liaison for summer associatesHelping manage long term hiring goals with Recruiting Committee and Office Leadership, including preparing and maintaining recruitment statistics and reportsCompleting special projects regarding various issues as needed for the Associate Recruiting DepartmentProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe'd love to hear from you if you if you display the following skills:
Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmAbility to work in a team environment with a customer service focusStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong analytical skills with minimal supervision neededOrganizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlinesStrong attention to detail and quality assurance processesKnowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS OfficeKnowledgeable and proficient in applicant tracking systems and interview platformsAnd have:
A high school diploma or equivalent and, preferably, a Bachelor's degreeA minimum of three (3) years of experience in professional recruitingBenefits & Additional Information
