Job Description

Position Summary

Whole Farm Revenue Protection (WFRP) Claims Specialist provides exceptional customer service to agents and producers by accurately and efficiently auditing and verifying WFRP Claims. Serves as an expert in areas of WFRP claims procedure and auditing. WFRP Claims Specialist will work to provide research and verification of claims/policy data, troubleshoot any identified problems or issues, and be able to train other staff as needed in the area of WFRP Claims.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Job ResponsibilitiesAudit and process claims timely and accurately as defined by the WFRP Policy and ASNA WFRP Claims SOP.Learn, discover and gain knowledge.Attend WFRP training and other claims/adjuster/auditor trainings when necessary.Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures.Communicate directly with WFRP and MPCI underwriters as needed, adjusters, compliance staff, agents, and producers in a timely manner.Correct and resolve issues related to FCIC Policy Acceptance and Storage System (PASS) error report.Continuous development of working knowledge of WFRP and support with implementing underwriting and claims procedures.Continuous development and understanding of regional crops and farming practices as it relates to WFRP.Utilize publications to solve problems (i.e. including the Loss Adjustment Manual (LAM), Loss Handbooks, policy provisions, SOP documents, and other office resources.)Ensures compliance with Federal, State and internal policies and procedures.Utilizes knowledge of NCIS/RMA crop policies as needed.Utilizes a detailed working knowledge of the processing system, industry and corporate forms, WFRP Policy, MPCI policies and federal rules.Continuing knowledge of departments and procedures outside of claim auditing within the company.Researches and resolves complex claims issues with little supervision.Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to in order to drive high team performance.Assist in development of WFRP training and claims procedures.Assist in resolving complex WFRP claim issues and errors.Must be able to read and interpret policy documentation provided by the producer and agent.Identify system bugs and errors.Proactively address situations and conflicts that impact team performance.Build and maintain professional relationships with policyholders, agents, field adjusters, Area Claims Supervisors (ACS) and industry leaders.Perform fact-finding review and reconciliation of related documentation, record and transmit information to accurately determine potential indemnities.Explain claim procedures and related findings to the policyholder and agent.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements

Preferred minimum of 5 years of MPCI or WFRP Crop Insurance experience.Preferred knowledge of IRS Federal Tax forms.Prior demonstrated advanced experience of in MPCI underwriting and/or claims auditing/processing is required.Advanced knowledge of and ability to interpret FCIC MPCI and WFRP policies.Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and related software.Advanced computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Acrobat Adobe.Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent customer service, planning, presentation, and organizational skills.Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical calculations.Ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with problems, stress or conflict.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Ability to perform work without direct supervision.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Must be willing to travel. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.

The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

Salary Range: $50,000.00- $75,000.00

Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
