Position Overview:

The Sr. NETOPS System Administrator at the Joint Cyber Training Enterprise (JCTE) will contribute subject matter expertise to enhance network/system stability and analytics, while advancing NETOPS maturity. The role requires proficiency across a wide range of IT and cybersecurity products, tools, architectures, and implementations, utilizing this expertise to provide detailed reporting. Additionally, the candidate will monitor system resource utilization for individual and large-scale collective training. Collaboration with customers and third-party organizations is crucial, and the candidate should be adept at responding to ad-hoc technical requirements while managing priorities across the enterprise. The ability to thrive in high-pressure situations is essential.

Position location is Fort Meade, MD and full time on-site.

Responsibilities:

As a Sr NETOPS System Administrator, you will monitor system performance, utilize platform tools, and communicate effectively with reporting agencies. Responsibilities include overseeing system virtualized resources, identifying best practices, and supporting large-scale cyber exercises. The Sr NETOPS System Administrator will contribute to cyber training and help establish an internal NETOPS capability at JCTE. Collaborating with a skilled team, the NETOPS Administrator will provide network & resource monitoring expertise for training operations across USCC and various service components and agencies.

Required Experience/Qualifications:Day-to-day network performance monitoring.Two to five years of analytics tools such as Metabase and Grafana.Collects & analyze metrics and trending data, develops data standards, policies, and procedures.Analyzes data sources, assesses validity, and provides actionable recommendations.Experience with VMware, Net App, and RedHat Linux (RHEL).Two to five years' experience in technical support and quality assurance for platform resources and services.Self-starter in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with engineers of varying skills and experience levels.Effective written and oral communication with leadership on both business and technical aspects.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as IT, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university. (5 years' experience in lieu of degree)6+ years of directly related experience supporting help desk operations.8570 Compliant IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification required within six months of hire.Preferred Experience:

Problem-solving skills for resolving technical issues across diverse integrated software and hardware platforms.Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques.Proficiency in generating queries and reports, utilizing data analysis tools such as Excel, Meta Base, and SPSS.Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.Effective communication with vendors, users, customers, and developers to comprehend needs and operational requirements changes impacting the production environment.Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentSpecial Requirements/Security Clearance:

In accordance with the specifications of a government contract, eligibility for this position mandates U.S. Citizenship status and a TS/SCI security clearance. The precise security clearance requisites will be detailed in the Government's Task Order.

Salary Range:

Salary Minimum: $118,000, Salary Maximum: $148,000

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. When extending an offer, CESI also considers other variables such as (but not limited to) work experience, education, training, skill set, internal peer equity, clearance level, and market conditions.
