Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Develop application expertise, ranging from digital processing to high power inverters, in target markets (Computing/Telecom, Industrial, Defense/Aerospace, Medical, Consumer, etc.)Develop deep product knowledge across all YAGEO Group brands (YAGEO, KEMET, PULSE, NEXENSOS, TELEMECANIQUE)Maximize cross-sell opportunities for YAGEO Group products with customersIn conjunction with sales, be the technical liaison between the customer, product managers and manufacturing teamsSystematically funnel customer data to the business unit development teams and marketing for inclusion in product roadmapsProvide technical training on new products and technologies to customers and sales personnel (direct, manufacturers' representatives and distribution)Provide feedback to Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams about the competitive environment, market acceptance of devices, and identification of opportunities and features for new products/product areasDefine, develop and deliver sales toolsCommunicate and understand market design trends and competitive landscapeAnswer technical questions in a timely fashion and resolve technical objectionsContribute to the expanding ecosystem of our digital design toolsParticipate in industry groups critical to our core businessParticipate in industry events, tradeshows, and customer eventsDeliverables:
Increase design funnel for the future revenueAssist in Increasing product knowledge with the sales teamWork closely with Director and Sales Reps on ideas and design expansion projectsBe the "go to resource" for customer engineers and distribution FAE'sQuarterly reviews with Director, Product Managers, and support team on design activity and trends in the assigned territoryRequirements:
BS in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 2 years Engineering experienceEffective interpersonal skillsAbility to present and moderate highly technical materials to diverse audiencesExcellent proactive problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and simulation tools.Requires up to 40% travel
