Description
The Program Specialist assists in managing programs that will enhance the quality of life for citizens while promoting economic growth through the development and revitalization of housing and communities.
Hiring Range:$56,513 - $74,006 (Estimated Annual Salary)

Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*Compiles and maintains records and statistics of project/program activities as required.
*Assists with the coordination and implementation of workshops and training sessions.
*Maintains a basic understanding of the Urban Entitlement Grant and other departmental grant programs.
*Provides technical assistance to promote sub-recipient/nonprofit performance competency.
*Provides oversight for activities associated with coordinating, managing, and administrating designated program/project services in the Urban Entitlement Grant and other departmental grant programs.
*Reviews sub-recipient/nonprofit eligibility procedures and documentation to ensure compliance with all grant requirements.
*Assists in the review of sub-recipient/nonprofit program expenditures and ensures that expenditures are in accordance with regulatory allowability.
*Participates in outreach for department services.
*Performs other duties or assumes other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
*Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
*Three (3) years or more of successful experience in Community Development, Nonprofit Development, Program Management, or Public Administration.
*Confident in the use of computers and able to be trained in software required to complete the functions of the position.
*Must possess a valid SC Driver's license (or obtain within three (3) months of hire) and meet the County's motor vehicle policy requirements.
