The Red Hat Ansible Engineering (https://www.ansible.com/) team ( https://www.ansible.com/ ) is looking for a software engineer in the Raleigh/Durham area. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ansible organization, you will be working across geos with technical team members to analyze, design, develop, debug, and deliver new products and feature functionality for the Ansible offerings. You will get an opportunity to collaborate with diverse agile teams around the world to deliver value for our customers and partners in an open source way. This is also a great opportunity to hone your skills while working with a wide range of modern languages, frameworks, and technologies. What You'll Do

Develop and maintain software to automatically provision, upgrade, monitor, and heal Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.

Work with technical leads and the business to understand feature requirements. Help break requirements down into smaller units of work.

Contribute to all aspects of product delivery, including design/architecture, development, testing, documentation, and deployment.

What You'll Bring

Passion for learning new technologies, building elegant software systems, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and automation.

Software development experience using Python or GoLang.

Basic knowledge of software development life cycle tools, like GitHub and Jenkins.

Software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile or scrum processes

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

The salary range for this position is $111,260.00 - $183,580.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
