is seeking an enthusiastic individual for an internship with our Administrative team at our
Duluth, Georgia
branch. This role will work side-by-side with our administrative associates, gaining hands-on experience supporting project and administrative staff in a professional services environment.WJE is a global firm of engineers, architects, and materials scientists committed to helping clients solve, repair, and avoid problems in the built world. Our applied experience from more than 175,000 projects combined with unparalleled laboratory and testing capabilities have made WJE a leader in providing innovative yet practical solutions to the clients we serve.Intern Responsibilities:Answer incoming calls and direct client inquiries appropriatelyAssist with copying, filing, and binding as requestedProcess outgoing mail and packages to include special delivery services (Federal Express) as neededProvide assistance where requested in the coordination of office tasks which may include resolving building issues, conference room scheduling and setup/takedown, contacting vendors as needed, and maintaining office equipmentSupport assigned professional staff utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, PDF and photo editing software, and Deltek Vision in order to complete work productAssist Project Managers with a working knowledge of specific functions of the Vision database, e.g. relevant reports, pre-bills, etc. as needed for his or her analysis
Qualifications WJE looks for in an Intern:Currently enrolled in the Business Technology Program (AAS or Diploma)Affinity for a fast-paced collaborative environmentAbility to organize and manage workload between a variety of ongoing tasksExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailHighly motivated self-starterCurious and excited to learnProficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Photoshop, and ability to learn database programs
Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires visual acuity and listening ability along with the ability to read and write. Individuals must have the dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computer, printer, fax, copier, telephone, voice mail system, and other office equipment. Position mainly involves working at a desk and requires the ability to remain seated or at a workstation for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 25 lbs.Ability to read printed materials and computer screens.
The expected hourly rates for candidates who meet the above criteria range from $17.00 an hour to $22.00 an hour based on education level.WJE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
