The Senior Technical Assistant (WCC) is responsible for the following duties:
Technical support for end-users for hardware, software, peripherals, via phone, chat, email, or in-person.
Provide end-user training for classroom technology that include projection, audio systems, IP-based cameras, flat panel displays, and interactive devices.
A strong understanding of signal flow.
Responds to user calls regarding audio/visual equipment issues in classrooms.
Responsible for submitting service tickets.
Performs installation, maintenance, and relocation of audio/visual equipment.
Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of classroom equipment for instructional purposes.
Tracks audio/visual equipment inventory and inputs the data into an enterprise software system.
Supports college events with audio/visual equipment and IP-based videoconferencing/streaming applications.
Supervision may be exercised over subordinate staff.
Lift equipment that may weigh up to 50lbs.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a high school or equivalency diploma and at least three years of experience in the field where a primary function of the position was the installation, operation, maintenance of audio/visual equipment.
The successful candidate must be proficient and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Strong communication, written, organizational and presentation skills are required. The incumbent must also be able to work independently. Experience with various equipment that include but not limited to cable testers, punch-down tools, wire cutters, projectors, cameras, and encoders. Proficiency in all the following: IP and Mac addresses, PC's, classroom infrastructure, Apple Desktops, networked audio/visual equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: It is strongly preferred that the successful candidate possess a valid driver's license. Proficiency in some or all the following: YouTube Livestreaming service, Microsoft Teams, Panasonic Projectors/Cameras, network protocols, wireless microphones, and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is also preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule will be Monday - Thursday (1:00pm - 9:00pm) Saturday (8:00am - 4:00pm).
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $55,138. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $67,566. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a choice of defined benefit or defined contribution pension plan, generous leave benefits, and access to tax sheltered annuities and a deferred compensation plan.
