Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College has an immediate opening for a full-time Clerk in the Cecil C. Tyrrell Library. The Clerk provides support to the Library Circulation Desk Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and Friday between the hours of 9:00 am - 5:00pm.
Duties include routine office and clerical tasks including; input of information into the Library Circulation and Catalog system, scanning barcodes from student/staff ID's, books, etc., shelving and shifting of books, answering phones, and filing.
This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, ability to multitask and work effectively in a customer service-oriented department with students, faculty, the general public, and campus constituencies, as part of a team environment.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must work independently, have computer skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and the ability to effectively communicate and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Additional Information:
The hourly rate for this position is $17.16.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
