ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside has been proudly serving children and families since 1967. We are one of the premier non-profits in the Inland Empire and looking for an incredible Accounting Leader to join our dynamic team. We are a highly driven and mission-focused organization. The Club's impact extends throughout several sites across the Inland Empire, Redlands, and areas of the High Desert.
Job Purpose:
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Redlands-Riverside is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Accounting to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. The Director of Accounting will play a crucial role in ensuring financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position requires a strategic thinker who can provide financial leadership and support to achieve our mission of empowering youth and fostering positive community impact.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Management:
Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assists with the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior management.Monitor budget performance and provide regular financial analysis and recommendations to the CFO and Executive Team.
Audit and Compliance:
Assist with the annual audit and tax filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to nonprofit organizations and accounting practices.Implement internal controls to safeguard organization assets.
Financial Strategy and Support:
Provide strategic financial advice to the CFO and Executive Team to support decision-making and organizational growth.Collaborate with program leaders to analyze program finances and ensure financial sustainability.Support grant reporting and management of restricted funds.
Team Leadership and Development:
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Conduct performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.Experience with financial management software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Proven leadership and team management abilities.Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.Personal Attributes:
